Physical Security Panel

Bob Dolan is the Director of Technology for Security Solutions at Anixter. He brings with him over 28 years of sales, management, and technical experience in the physical security industry.

After working with endusers and integrators for many years, Bob earned his RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification from BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Standards International) in 2009 and his CPP (Certified Protection Professional) from ASIS in 2012.

In January, 2014, Bob took over the role in the ONVIF Technical Services Committee for which Anixter has held a position since Anixter first joined ONVIF in 2009. Bob continues to be the voice of the customer on this committee and shares with the team various end user comments and concerns as applicable to discussed topics.

In his career, Bob has been responsible for starting the Anixter Security Marketing team in 2000 when Anixter first embarked upon understanding the technology and educating its customers about technology changes that were about to happen in the migration from analog technology to IP. In his current role, he is responsible for working with manufacturers and other standards groups for the continued education of customers, manufacturers, and the Anixter team. He is also responsible for leading Anixter's physical securityfocused testing at the Anixter Infrastructure Solutions Lab to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

Sean A. Ahrens, CPP; I am an asset protection (security) leader/expert/consultant with over twenty years of achievement, focusing on the development/administration of cost effective programs that reduce security exposures within domestic and international markets for Aon Global Risk Consulting, a global risk management, insurance and security consulting organization.

I have led multiple strategies and security implementations in healthcare, transportation, government and commercial sectors, resulting in the creation of robust security management programs. Personally designed, marketed and implemented unique services around being proactive about my customer's uncertainties.

Hal Friend, Director of Physical Security and Fire Prevention, Walgreens
Hal Friend is the Director of Physical Security and Fire Prevention at Walgreen Co.  Previous to Walgreens, he served 23 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in 2002. In his current position, he oversees the strategy, development, and implementation of physical security and fire prevention systems at over 8,173 drugstores with a presence in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
