Meeting Recap – Women in Security 2 – July 25
The July 25 chapter meeting was part 2 of a 3-part series on woman in security. This meeting was a panel discussion with interactions and participation from the members focusing on Mentoring with a review of part ones topic on Breaking Barriers and stereotypes.
The Women in Security/Next Gen meeting on Mentoring meeting at Axis Communications was very successful. A huge thank you to Christina Park from AXIS Communications, our Chapter’s Women in Security and Next Generation Chairperson, for organizing the meetings. Ray Van Hook from AbbVie, Jessica Lundgren from Axis Communications, John Collias from Genetec, and Lina Forero the Member Engagement Specialist from ASIS International were on the panel and presented special insight for all in attendance. Judging by the fact that no-one left the meeting early, I think it’s safe to say that the presentation was VERY well received. Dinner was served afterward, with excellent networking by all in attendance.
