Tri-Chapter Event 2025 Recap
Thank you for joining us at Lamb’s Farm for the Third Annual Tri-Chapter Event! The energy, connection, and curiosity you brought—from Chicago, Milwaukee, and North Shore chapters, together with our phenomenal Women in Security hosts—made this year truly special. 🎃
Our theme, Resilience in the Face of Fear, resonated throughout the day. We began with a warm welcome and a heartfelt message from Lamb’s Farm, celebrating their mission to empower individuals with developmental disabilities—a purpose close to many hearts and one that reflects our commitment to community and inclusion.
The agenda featured inspiring and insightful sessions:
· Career Progression Panel: Madeline Hodson, Courtney Usenick, & Amy Hanks (moderated by Sue Monreal) – Honest stories and advice for building meaningful careers in security.
· Kim Urbanek – Delivered a powerful keynote on what it means to be resilient, personally, and professionally.
· Anne E Schwartz – Shared strategies for media relations and handling critical narratives in the industry.
· Kraig Moreland – Fascinated us with the mystery of “The Furnace Girl: The Mysterious Case of Elfrieda Knaak.”
Between sessions, we connected over networking, enjoyed a delicious from scratch lunch, and celebrated together during our lively happy hour—all helping strengthen the bonds within our security community.
A special shoutout to Hector Magallanes for professional headshots 📸 and amazing event photos. [headshot & event photos link] Whether you posed for a headshot or simply enjoyed the group moments, we hope these memories bring a smile!
We’re also grateful to our sponsors, GardaWorld, Dave Wilson, JJ Cavatta, and Sue Monreal, whose generous support made this event possible—your partnership lifts up our chapters and helps build a resilient security network for the future.
Coordinating this event as part of the North Shore Chapter, alongside our colleagues in Milwaukee and Chicago, and empowered by Women in Security, has been a privilege. Your stories, collaboration, and spirit of resilience inspire us all. True strength in our profession comes from courage, support, and community. 🕸️
We can’t wait to see you next year for the Fourth Annual Tri-Chapter Event! Watch for more details, and feel free to share feedback—let’s keep getting stronger, together.
Warm regards,
Nicole Anite Velez
